- To promote and disseminate WHO guidelines on prevention and treatment of HIV and co-infections such as tuberculosis, viral hepatitis and other sexually transmitted infections
- To build capacity for implementation of WHO guidance on prevention and treatment of HIV and co-infections such as tuberculosis, viral hepatitis and other sexually transmitted infections
- To improve models of service delivery for management of HIV and co-infections such as tuberculosis, viral hepatitis and other sexually transmitted infections
- To reduce stigma and discrimination against HIV, and viral hepatitis in health care settings engaging civil society and people living with HIV
- To support and participate in national, regional and international HIV research
