Terms of Reference:
  1. To promote a better working condition with healthy and safe workplace and healthy workers by conducting research on the integration of occupational health and safety with proposing guidelines and suggestions for problem-solving; 
  2. To provide sound scientific basis for risk assessment and risk management to promote the legislative approach of occupational health regulations for occupational hazards control by combine the toxicological study and epidemiological investigation; 
  3. To offer academic courses on occupational health, work safety, industrial hygiene and workplace health promotion to undergraduates, postgraduates and post-doctoral fellows, as well as professional and technical personnel in services of occupational health and safety; 
  4. To provide updated information service and expertise consultant through a dedicated column "Newsletter--WHO Collaborating Center for Occupational Health, Shanghai" bimonthly (JURNAL OF ENVIRONMENTAL & OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE, published by Shanghai Center for Disease Control and Prevention); 
  5. To refine curricula on preventive and occupational medicine for medical students, continuous education for EHS professionals' capacity building; 
  6. To participate in the activities of the Global Network of WHO Collaborating Centers in Occupational Health.
