- To assist WHO in development of technical material and guidelines related to reagent production.
a.Preparation of manuals and technical documents related to the methods developed by the Centre
b.Field testing of technical material
c.Training on the use of the manuals and technical documents produced by the Centre
d.Dissemination/ distribution of manuals and technical documents
e.Utilization /implementation at country level
- To assist WHO in the research and development of laboratory methods and quality control materials appropriate for developing countries.
a.Production of Quality Control (QC) material for use in Clinical laboratories in the Centre
b.To assist countries in monitoring and evaluation of QC reagents
c.To inform WHO of the trends and progress in development of new reagents
d.Training of WHO fellows in laboratory methods and quality assurance
- To assist WHO in conducting national/regional training in reagent production at the Centre.
