- To support development and implementation of WHO global strategy for traditional medicine and regional strategy for traditional medicine in the Western Pacific Region(2011-2020)
- To develop appropriate methodology for clinical research on evaluating the safety and efficacy of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
- To serve as a reference library for literature on Traditional Chinese Medicine and to set up a database of traditional medicine in order to promote information exchange.
