Terms of Reference:
- To carry out clinical research on acupuncture for validating its safety and efficacy.
- To carry out experimental research on the action mechanisms of acupuncture in order to improve its usefulness, with particular reference to its neuroscientific aspects for setting up the scientific basis of acupuncture treatment.
- To provide training opportunities for foreign scientists and medical doctors on both scientific research and clinical practice.
- The above Terms of Reference were set up by our center with WHO officials in 1983. During the past years we have completed various activities and accumulated a lot of experiences on basic and clinic researches in the field of Chinese Traditional Medicine. We shall continue our effort to practice these terms in the next designation period.
