- To support WHO initiatives on smoking cessation and treatment of tobacco dependence by sharing good practices on policies and programmes
- To provide evidence-based training on smoking cessation and treatment of tobacco dependence for healthcare professionals in the Region
- To develop, test and evaluate models of smoking cessation and treatment of tobacco dependence through research and evidence-based practice
- To assist WHO in the dissemination in the Region of information on smoking cessation and treatment of tobacco dependence.
