Terms of Reference:
  1. To develop evidence base for national and international policy in the area of workers health, such as national profiles. 
  2. To develop and practical tools for assessment and management of physical, chemical, psychosocial and ergonomic risks. To elaborate programmes for training of employers and workers representative in risk assessment and management To develop models and good practice and to support networking for healthy workplaces 
  3. To develop and test indicators for evaluation of occupational health services. To train medical and other specialists for occupational health services. To develop curricula and training materials for post/graduate training in the area of occupational health. 
  4. To develop and test indicators for workers health To participate in multicentric studies and to carry out and coordinate research in EMF, occupational cancer and psychosocial risks, including occupational stress and burnout. To develop methods and tools for awareness raising among key stakeholders. 
  5. To coordinate research and training activities among the institutions carrying out similar or closely related studies 
  6. To participate actively in the work of the Global and European Networks of WHO collaborating centres To participate in the development and implementation of projects and activities of the South East European Network on occupational health 
  7. To provide scientific support for activities related to development of national legislation & harmonisation with the European legislation on risk assessment, preventive technology & training needs. 
  8. Translation of information materals to Bulgarian language and their dissemination. To carry out other functions and tasks as agreed between the Centre and WHO. .

WHO Outputs:
  Ower: 8.5 - Health-sector leadership enhanced for creating a healthier environment and changing policies in all sectors so as to tackle the root causes of environmental threats to health, through means such as responding to emerging and re-emerging consequences of development on environmental health and altered patterns of consumption and production and to the damaging effect of evolving technologies.
