Terms of Reference:
  1. Develop evidence based Home Based Care interventions for vulnerable groups (people living with HIV and AIDS, chronically ill, youth, children, pregnant women, older people, and people with disability) through operationalization of the CHBC Model 
  2. Provide technical support to accelerate operationalization of CHBC Model through replication in selected low resource countries in the African Region 
  3. Provide technical support in leadership development of frontline decision makers for enhancing implementation of PHC strategy 
  4. Forge collaborative relationship and partnerships at local, regional and international levels for development of nursing and midwifery in priority areas such as of FNP, Community Health, maternal child health, Mental Health within the PHC framework to achieve the health related MDGs. 
  5. Promote Capacity development among community based family caregivers and organizations through innovative approaches to improve access to quality health care services at community level

WHO Outputs:

  Ower: 10.9 - Technical support provided to Member States, with a focus on those facing severe health-workforce difficulties in order to improve the production, distribution, skill mix and retention of the health workforce.
