- Clinical diagnosis of dementia

Exclusion Criteria:

- delirium

- acute medical conditions (eg pneumonia, cardiac failure)

- primary psychiatric conditions (eg schizophrenia)

- severe hearing impairment

Note: post intervention measures taken within 24 hours of final therapeutic intervention session
