Inclusion criteria: 1 Male and female aged 18 years old and over
2 Able and willing to provide signed informed consent
3 Extraperitoneal rectal anastomosis, ie. lower anterior resection
4 Coloanal anastomosis
5 Ileal pouch-anal anastomosis
6 Intraperitoneal rectal anastomosis with preoperative colonic obstruction

Exclusion criteria: Advanced colorectal cancer with peritoneal metastasis

Age minimum: 18
Age maximum: 90
Gender: Female

A:an antimesenteric border stoma and a distally placed staple block with double row staples;B:a tube stoma at cecum and a distally placed staple block with single row staples;C:a tube stoma at terminal ileum and a distally placed staple block with single row staples;Total:;
