Key inclusion & exclusion criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

- Patients with acute liver failure in encephalopathy grade 2-4

Exclusion Criteria:

- alcoholic hepatitis

- primary non function liver graft or graft dysfunction

- known chronic liver disease

- known malignancies

- clinical suspicion of brain death
