Key inclusion & exclusion criteria
|
Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria were smokers or ex-smokers with smoking history ≥10 pack-yrs, aged ≥ 40 years and had no exacerbation > 6 weeks prior to enrollment.
Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded if they had history of asthma, chronic chest symptoms in those aged <40 years, and concomitant cardiopulmonary diseases and those who were unable to complete questionnaires.

COPD (GOLD stages I-IV) in a stable clinical condition (no exacerbation during the previous 6 weeks before study inclusion) attending the chest clinic of the ChiangMai University Hospital were enrolled.
