Key inclusion & exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients for both gender with clinical diagnosis of COPD with moderate to very severe airflow obstruction presenting spirometric values of forced expiratory volume in the first second between 30 and 80% of predicted according to GOLD: Age between 18 and 80 years; Clinically stable (absence of hospitalization episode or infection in the 3 months prior to the study);
Exclusion criteria: Patients who presented any other associated chronic respiratory disease requiring urgent treatment or intervention;Presence of other non-pulmonary diseases considered incapacitating, severe or difficult to control; Patients who did not complete the study protocol and / or those who had an episode of exacerbation during the period that included their participation in the study.

Experimental group: 70 individuals with chronic lung disease who will perform physical exercise during 12 weeks, 3 times a week, for a total of 36 visits. The protocol will consist of: muscle stretching, warm-up exercises, strengthening for legs and arms and on the treadmill or bicycle.
Control group: 70 Individuals with chronic lung disease were followed in the outpatient clinics of the study centers for 12 weeks with their appropriate medication and guidance on the benefits of constant exercise. All participants will be evaluated before, immediately after the protocol and 3 months after the end of the protocol regarding their sexuality, lung function, respiratory muscle strength, physical capacity, religiosity, quality of life, anxiety and depression and dyspnea.

Primary Outcome(s)
Significant increase in the sexual quotient score after 12 weeks of the intervention protocol.

Significant increase in scores on Organizational Religiosity of the Duke-Durel Scale of Religiousness after 12 weeks of the intervention protocol.
Secondary Outcome(s)
Significant improvement in physical capacity from increased walking distance in the 6-minute walk test after 12 weeks of the intervention protocol.

Significant improvement in quality of life was achieved by reducing the scores of the two quality of life questionnaires (CAT and SGRQ) after 12 weeks of the intervention protocol.

Reduction of scores on anxiety and depression scores through the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale after 12 weeks of the intervention protocol.
