Key inclusion & exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Volunteers with clinical diagnosis of Parkinson's disease; both genders;with scores between 1 and 3 on the Hoehn and Yhar scale.
Exclusion criteria: Volunteers with signs of dementia; cardiorespiratory diseases; neuromuscular diseases; musculoskeletal diseases not related to Parkinson's disease; to have made changes in the class and/or drug dose between the evaluations.

Intervention(s)
Experimental group: 20 volunteers with Parkinson's disease will receive one myofascial release (manual therapy) session applied to specific regions (respiratory muscles). Control group: 20 volunteers with Parkinson's disease will receive one placebo procedure session simulating a manual therapy session. Groups will be randomized.

Primary Outcome(s)
1) linear and non-linear indices of cardiac autonomic control, obtained by analysis of heart rate variability; 2) pulmonary function indexes, obtained by spirometric maneuvers of slow vital capacity, forced vital capacity and maximum voluntary ventilation; 3) thoracoabdominal mobility assessed by cirtometry; and 4) maximal respiratory pressures, obtained by manovacuometry.
Secondary Outcome(s)
Correlation between cardiac autonomic control and pulmonary function; correlation between cardiac autonomic control and maximal respiratory pressures.
