Inclusion criteria: First antenatal care visit.
Nigerian.
Resident in Maiduguri.
Exclusion criteria: Hypertension
pre-eclampsia or eclampsia
Diabetes mellitus
Prior history of per vaginal bleeding in current pregnancy
Pregnancy above 5 months
Multiple pregnancy
