Inclusion Criteria:

- Acute traumatic proximal humeral fracture

- Signed informed consent

Exclusion Criteria:

- Fracture older than 48 hours at admission

- Multilevel fractures of the humerus

- Pathological fractures

- Terminally ill patients.
