Inclusion Criteria:

- Head and neck cancer patients scheduled to receive radiotherapy with or without
chemotherapy

Exclusion Criteria:

- Prior radiotherapy to the head and neck region

- Severe liver or renal disease

- Reye's syndrome

- Allergy to glutamine

- Reluctant to join the study
