Key inclusion & exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) have been diagnosed with myocardial infarction, had stable vital signs and were arranged for PCI for the first time;
2) aged 60 years or more;
3) had the ability to communicate sufficiently (in Mandarin) to understand the education program; and
4) have no other serious complications, which would interfere with the program (e.g., tumor, uremia).

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with secondary or tertiary coronary stenting due to recurrent coronary stenosis;
2) Patients with enlarged heart and left ventricular systolic dysfunction;
3) Patients with other organs with severe diseases and malignant tumors that affected their survival during follow-up.
