Key inclusion & exclusion criteria
|
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria of patients: Patients will be enrolled if they are diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis at the three hospitals: Childrens Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine; The Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University; Jinhua Peoples Hospital. The children should be aged between 3.0 and 14.0 years.
Inclusion criteria of healthy controls: Sex and age-matched kids who visit Childrens Health Care Department at the three hospitals will be selected as healthy controls.
Exclusion criteria: Children will be excluded if they have the following reasons:
1. Children who are unwilling to participate in the study;
2. Patients who are diagnoses with systemic JIA;
3. Children who took antibiotics in the past three months;
4. Body mass index (BMI) exceeds overweight standard;
5. Unbalanced diet;
6. Children who have inflammatory bowel disease, asthma, allergic diseases, primary immunodeficiency diseases and so on;
7. Children who have a long history of medication.
