Key inclusion & exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Irritable bowel syndrome group inclusion criteria:
1. aged 18 to 70 years old, male or female;
2. right-handed;
3. all patients had abdominal pain with bowel habits or stool change characteristics, persistently or intermittently;
4. by gastrointestinal endoscopy, abdominal ultrasound, CT, MRI and other related biochemical imaging check and check, the results were not found related to pathological changes;
5. Symptoms appeared at least 6 months,in nearly 3 months, symptoms consistent with the above criteria;
The normal group inclusion criteria:
1. aged 18 to 70 years old, male or female;
2. right-handed;
3. No symptoms of digestive tract and disease history in the last 6 months.

Exclusion criteria: 1. other digestive tract diseases were evaluated by digestive medicine;
2. history of alcohol or tobacco abuse;
3. patients with other brain injury such as intracranial tumors, stroke history;
4. suffering from mental illness;
5. patients with metallic implants;
6. have serious heart, liver or kidney diseases.
