Inclusion criteria: Patients above 8 years of age with type 1 diabetes diagnosed for at least 1 year
Exclusion criteria: Patients on continuous glucose monitoring

Patients in whom 6 month follow up is not posible

Health Condition 1: null- Stable Health Condition 2: E108- Type 1 diabetes mellitus with unspecified complications
Intervention(s)
Intervention1: Education: Systematic education to the patient and care-giver by one on one interaction or through telephone along with the help of modules designed for a period of 5 months
Control Intervention1: Standard care: The usual standard physician care to the patient.

Mean number of hypoglycemic episodes at 1 month and 6 monthsTimepoint: 1 month and 6 months
