Hora Soltani is Principal Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield, United Kingdom. Her educational qualifications include, among others, PhD and MMedSci degrees and a postgraduate diploma in higher education. Dr Soltani has been leading and conducting research for several years in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Her main areas of interest include maternal health and Nutrition, largely in obesity, breastfeeding and postpartum haemorrhage. She has experience in various research methodologies including qualitative and quantitative approaches, particularly systematic reviews of randomized controlled trials. She is currently involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education within Health and Social Care Research Centre at the Sheffield Hallam University. She currently leads the commissioning and service delivery theme within the centre. She is a reviewer for the Cochrane Pregnancy and Childbirth Group as well as a member of the editorial board for the journals Evidence Based Midwifery and of the International Advisory Group of the journal Midwifery.
