Prof. H.P.S. Sachdev (MD, FIAP, FAMS, FRCPCH) is Senior Consultant in Paediatrics and Clinical Epidemiology at Sitaram Bhartia Institute of Science and Research, New Delhi, India. He is also Adjunct Professor at the St. John’s Research Institute, Bangalore, India, and Visiting Professor, MRC Epidemiology Resource Centre, Southampton, United Kingdom. He has previously served as: Professor, Department of Paediatrics, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi; National President, Indian Academy of Paediatrics; Secretary, Nutrition Society of India; and Editor-in-Chief of Indian Paediatrics. He has over 200 indexed publications and has edited thirteen books. His current research interests include developmental origins of adult disease, nutrition in children and mothers in low- and middle-income countries, and systematic reviews.
