Olatunde Onafowokan is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Abuja, Nigeria. His subspecialties are feto-maternal medicine and urogynaecology. He is interested in reduction of maternal mortality and prenatal interventions to improve perinatal outcomes. He is also visiting lecturer to the Post Basic Nursing School of Intensive Care. He is an IPAS Master Trainer in Post Abortion Care and the Program Coordinator of the IPAS–UATH Post Abortion Care project. He is also involved in international collaboration in the multi-centre trial of tranexamic acid for treatment of postpartum haemorrhage. He desires opportunities to participate in collaboration in international randomized trials in obstetrics and gynaecology and the dissemination and integration of evidence-based interventions into community service in the rural areas within Nigeria Federal Capital Territory.
