Dr. Asmita Muthal-Rathore, MD. MRCOG, United Kingdom, is currently working as Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Maulana Azad Medical College and associated Loknayak Hospital, New Delhi, India. She has worked as a teaching faculty member in medical colleges in different parts of India in last 15 years. She has about 35 publications in national and international journals to her credit and has presented many papers in various national and world conferences. She has also contributed some 25 chapters to various books. She has keen interest in clinical research and was clinical collaborator in the ‘Magpie Trial - A multicenter trial on the role of magnesium sulfate in Pre eclampsia’ conducted by Institute Of Health Sciences, Oxford and for its follow-up study. Her fields of interest include obstetrics (especially obstetric problems in developing countries), maternal fetal medicine, maternal mortality, and urogynecology.
