María Gabriela Puig and Yanina Sguassero
María Gabriela Puig is a paediatrician and neonatologist. She has been working for the last fifteen years at Maternidad Martin, a Baby Friendly Hospital since 1996 in Rosario, Argentina, and she is currently in charge of the Neonatology Department. She is collaborating in a new program at a national level to develop a new approach for taking care of the mother and child dyads. She is also the Secretary of the Child Disabilities’ Committee of the Argentinean Pediatric Society.
Dr. Yanina Sguassero is a paediatrician from Argentina. She has completed postgraduate studies in neonatology and fetal medicine. She is currently working as a researcher at the Centro Rosarino de Estudios Perinatales (CREP), Rosario, Argentina. CREP is a WHO Collaborative Centre in Child and Maternal Health. Dr. Sguassero’s area of interest includes evidence-based child health care and systematic reviews about nutritional and non nutritional interventions aimed at improving child growth in the developing world. She has participated in WHO/PAHO projects related to the practical implementation of the New WHO Growth Standards for preschool children. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Cochrane Child Health Field since March 2005.
