Prequalification of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients - Information included in the WHO List of Prequalified Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients

 

What information is included in the WHO List of Prequalified Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients?

The WHO List of Prequalified Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) will list the following attributes for each prequalified API:

  • Assigned WHO reference number

  • International Nonproprietary Name (INN) of the API

  • Date of prequalification

  • Name of the applicant company

  • Site(s) of API manufacture

  • API master file version number

  • API specification number and version

  • Primary and secondary packaging components

  • Assigned re-test period

  • Recommended storage conditions
