A Formulary System has been instituted at Majuro Hospital. A formulary fosters the principles of good therapeutics, economics and efficiency of drug utilization. The Formulary is a continually revised list of pharmaceuticals that represents the current clinical judgment of the medical, pharmacy and nursing staff.

Recommendations concerning the content of this formulary are made by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. The formulary also follows the principles of the World Health Organization (WHO) Essential Drug List.
