United States of America. The Food and Drug Administration has alerted consumers to a recall of an electrical weight loss device - known as the Moulding Body Electrical Body Belt or Personal Electro-Sauna (Body Fitness Inc./TV Store Corp.) - advertised and commercialised on television.

The firm has received complaints that indicate that its device is hazardous and has caused skin burns and fires. The product resembles a heating pad and can be wrapped around the waist, thighs or arms. It has not been approved by the FDA.

Consumers who have purchased Moulding Body through advertisements on Hispanic television should stop using the product at once.

TV Store is currently conducting a voluntary recall of the product and the FDA is actively monitoring the situation.
