United Kingdom. A new wound dressing has been developed that incorporates a light-sensitive adhesive. The dressings are removed from the skin by peeling back an opaque top layer so that visible light can penetrate a lower transparent layer through to the adhesive which then loses its ability to stick. It will probably be a couple of years before products incorporating the new adhesive will be available on the market.
