Legal considerations

Governments should actively encourage research on acupuncture, particularly clinical evaluation, as well-designed research will provide reliable references regarding the validity of acupuncture practice.

Legislation on acupuncture and regulation of acupuncture practice can play an important role in assuring die quality of acupuncture service and administration of acupuncture practice.
