2.3.1. Economic and social rationale of internationalization

The health care sector cannot continue to be a spectator or a «patient» in front of a process which today covers the entire international spectrum. People has come to the conclusion that it is more efficient to join effort and resources than to remain anchored in the traditional protectionist positions that favour the use of «one's own» rather than the use of the best and «the most effective».
