The Third Meeting of the Directors of WHO Collaborating Centres for Traditional Medicine was held in Beijing, People's Republic of China, from 23 to 26 October 1995. The purpose of the meeting was to review and discuss activities, progress, problems, needs, developments and plans for future work.
At this meeting, three WHO Regions and the represented Collaborating Centres presented their activities in traditional medicine. This document contains copies of the reports from the WHO Regions and excerpts from the reports from the Collaborating Centres. These presentations were followed by discussion on the role of the Collaborating Centres and their work plans for the next four years, on strengthening cooperation between these Centres and WHO, and on collaboration between the Centres themselves. These issues are reviewed in the Conclusions and Recommendations.
