This chapter describes the procedures for measuring the three groups of core drug use indicators. For each group, after a brief introduction, the intended purpose, specific prerequisites and details for the calculation of each indicator are outlined, and an example is presented of how the indicator might be used. This is followed by a description of the general tastes required to measure the set of indicators in each group.
