Germany. The Federal Institute for Health Protection of Consumers and Veterinary Medicine has extended the suspension of approval for veterinary medicines containing the insecticide/parasiticide, carbaril, until 31 December 1999, pending the availability of results from further studies and a reassessment of the genotoxic and carcinogenic potential of carbaril.
