Chlortetracycline and salinomycin: approved in broiler chickens for prevention of coccidiosis: USA

United States of America. The Food and Drug Administration has approved the use of chlortetracycline and salinomycin (ChlorMax 50, 65 or 70 g per pound and Sacox or Bio-Cox 30 or 60 g per pound: Alpharma) in medicated feeds for use in broiler chickens for the prevention of coccidiosis and as an aid in the reduction of mortality due to Escherichia coli infections.
