Revision of the Interagency Emergency Health Kit (IEHK) 2011: Report of Meetings of 28-29 November, 2016 and 4-5 July, 2017
(2017; 14 pages)

Abstract

The process to review the IEHK 2011 started in June 2015 with review of applications to change the content of the malaria and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) as per latest guidelines. In December 2015 these two modules were updated. In 2016, the process to update the remaining components was initiated and a meeting took place in Geneva on 28-29 November 2016 to review applications for expansion of commodities for management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) as well as other contributions from partners. A final meeting of partners and suppliers was organized in Copenhagen on 4-5 July 2017 to clarify pending issues and discuss logistics and quality aspects of the kit. The agenda and meeting participants are included in Appendix A and Appendix B.

In the July 2017 meeting it was agreed that documentation of changes to the kit would be included in a single report covering discussions in the meetings of November 2016 and July 2017, with reference to previous changes effected in 2015. These changes are documented in the tables and related notes below (stricken through entries indicate deletion, green highlight indicates changes in description or quantity for existing items and new additions)
