Abstract

To mitigate the challenges posed by tuberculosis and drug resistant TB in the face of the HIV epidemic and the socio-economic environment, the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation, Ministry of Medical Services through the DLTLD and PPB undertook a post market survey of first line anti-TB medicines with the aim of establishing the availability, quality and registration status in the Kenyan market. This survey was conducted through collaboration and support from various stakeholders; the key ones being CDC, WHO, MSH, PPB and NQCL.
