Abstract

This study implemented a systematic process aimed at analyzing the factors that contributed to the reduction of Plasmodium falciparum cases in the countries of the Amazon region, emphasizing an analysis of the contribution of artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACT). First, a comprehensive literature review was undertaken. Based on the findings of this review, a research protocol was designed and applied in five of the region’s countries.
