Abstract

The purpose of the assessment was to provide quantitative data on the supply and availability of tracer medicines and select health supplies at health facilities and pharmacies. The assessment was geared to provide an empirical snapshot of the current supply situation at all levels (central medical stores, state and county stores, primary health care facilities, dispensaries, and private-sector pharmacies); it was also designed to provide baseline information to track changes and improvements in pharmaceutical supply and logistics management system performance over time.
