It has been necessary to revise the 2003 Edition guidelines in order to incorporate the new knowledge and experiences that have accumulated to date. The revised guidelines contribute to the National Strategic Plan (NSP) and are targeted to reach all health providers who take care of HIV infected patients either directly or indirectly through counselling and referral.
