Abstract

This guidelines describes a method for establishing the necessary minimum size of pharmaceutical stores and for estimating transport volumes. It does not provide all the information required to establish the size of a complete warehouse. The method described may also be used for sizing sub-stores within such a store; for example, cold stores. The guidelines is written for those responsible for planning and organising pharmaceutical purchasing at national and regional levels.
