This report describes the results of the Omani National Drug Policy survey
conducted in October 2003. The survey was carried out in eight of the 10 health
regions and focused on the Level II core indicators. These indicators support
the Level I structure and process indicators by providing specific data about
critical pharmaceutical outcomes. The indicators are measured in public health
facilities, private pharmacies and in regional distribution points supplying
both areas. The main parameters measured relate to access, cost, quality and
rational drug use.
