Bambermycins: approved in cattle: USA

United States of America. The Food and Drug Administration has approved the use of bambermycins (10 to 20 mg per head per day) in medicated feeds for increased rate of weight gain and improved feed efficiency in feedlot cattle and for increased rate of weight gain in pasture cattle, including dairy and beef replacement heifers.[See also Pharmaceuticals Newsletter Nos. 7&8, July & August 1997]
