9.7 Media and consumer organisations
Media and consumer organisations: Support from national associations of consumers and patients may add to the general acceptance of pharmacovigilance. Good relations with leading journalists may be helpful, e.g. for general public relations and as part of the risk management strategy whenever an acute drug problem arises. Special attention may be needed to explain to journalists the limitations of pharmacovigilance data (see § 8.5).
