Regional Office for South-East Asia, World Health Organization (2016-08)The South-East Asia (SEA) Region of WHO accounts for 41% of the global burden of tuberculosis in terms of disease incidence. In 2014, there was an estimated TB prevalence of 5.4 million and incidence of 4 million , and about 460 000 people died due to the disease in the Region. India and Indonesia have among the largest numbers of cases - 23% and 10% of the global total respectively.
