|Abstract:||The 142nd Session of the WHO Executive Board will be held at WHO headquarters in Geneva from 22 to 27 January 2018. Any proposal from Member States or Associate Members of WHO to include an item on the Agenda should reach the Director-General of the World Health Organization not later than 12 weeks after the circulation of the Draft Provisional Agenda or 10 weeks before the commencement of the session of the Executive Board, whichever is earlier. Proposals should, therefore, reach the Director-General by 21 September 2017. The High-Level Preparatory (HLP) Meeting noted the Draft Provisional Agenda of the 142nd Session of the WHO Executive Board and the modalities of proposing an additional Agenda item on “Drowning prevention” to the Executive Board Bureau within the given timeline of 21 September 2017. The Draft Provisional Agenda for the 142nd Session of the WHO Executive Board will be placed before the Seventieth Session of the Regional Committee for its review, comment and noting, as appropriate.|
