dc.description.abstractThe Regional Strategic Plan for TB Control 2006-2015 incorporates the additional interventions defined under the new Stop TB strategy and included in the Global Plan to Stop TB. Focusing on priorities for TB control in the South-East Asia Region, it highlights the four key strategic approaches towards achieving the TB-related Millennium Development Goals: (‎i)‎ Sustaining and enhancing DOTS to reach all TB patients, improve case detection and treatment success; (‎ii)‎ Establishing interventions to address HIV-associated TB and multidrug-resistant TB; (‎iii)‎ Forging partnerships to ensure equitable access to an essential standard of care to all TB patients; and (‎iv)‎ Contributing to health systems strengthening.en_US
