|Abstract:||The Regional Strategic Plan for TB Control 2006-2015 incorporates the additional interventions defined under the new Stop TB strategy and included in the Global Plan to Stop TB. Focusing on priorities for TB control in the South-East Asia Region, it highlights the four key strategic approaches towards achieving the TB-related Millennium Development Goals: (i) Sustaining and enhancing DOTS to reach all TB patients, improve case detection and treatment success; (ii) Establishing interventions to address HIV-associated TB and multidrug-resistant TB; (iii) Forging partnerships to ensure equitable access to an essential standard of care to all TB patients; and (iv) Contributing to health systems strengthening.|
