AbstractThis publication brought out on the occasion of the completion of 60 years of the World Health Organization in the South-East Asia Region, is a compilation of some highlights of WHO's work in the Region over the last six decades. Covering a broad cancas of activities, the publication attempts to follow the evolution of the health priorities in Member countries of the Region. Despite its large population, poverty and heavy diseases burden the Region has achieved some remarkable breakthroughs in health development and successfully addressed formidable challenges. Visually driven, the publication gives readers a glimpse of the diversity of health challenges and the innovative actions initiated in collaboration with Member countries to address them.
